Levallois Metropolitans signed swingman Daniel Nwaelele for the coming season, the club announced Friday. Nwaelele (1.96 meters, 33 years old) played for Austin of the D-League last season, for which he averaged 9.1 points on 50.0% three-point shooting and 3.7 rebounds over 32 games. A graduate of the United States Air Force Academy, Nwaelele spent five years on active duty in the Air Force before resuming his basketball career in 2012 at age 27. He spent three seasons with Santa Cruz in the D-League before joining Austin. Paris will be his first club outside of the United States.
