Lokomotiv Kuban Krasnodar improved its backcourt by inking playmaker Joe Ragland to a two-year deal, the club announced Friday. Ragland (1.82 meters, 27 years old) arrives from Scandone Avellino, where he averaged 17.7 points, 3.3 rebounds and 5.1 assists in 35 Italian League games last season. He started his career with UCAM Murcia of Spain and also played for Pallacanestro Cantu and EA7 Emporio Armani Milan of Italy, as well as for Pinar Karsiyaka Izmir of Turkey, before joining Lokomotiv in December 2015. He reached the Italian League finals twice - with Milan in 2015 and Avellino in 2016. He already played the 7DAYS EuroCup with Cantu in the 2014-15 season, averaging 14.7 points on 43.7% three-point shooting and 5.2 assists in 16 games.
