ALBA Berlin bolstered its frontcout by inking center Dennis Clifford to a one-year deal, the club announced Monday. Clifford (2.16 meters, 25 years old) arrives from Santa Cruz of the D-League, where he averaged 11.9 points on 59.2% two-point shooting and 8.1 rebounds in 38 games last season. It was his first season as a professional basketball player. Before that, Clifford finished his four-year career at Boston College, averaging 9.9 points and 7.3 rebounds in 31 NCAA games in the 2015-16 season. "ALBA is a club with a lot of tradition, an optimal situation for me as a player and as a person," Clifford said. "I see myself as a tyeam player, who likes to play defense and share the ball. I am looking forward to meeting my new teammates in Berlin soon."
