Lokomotiv Kuban Krasnodar announced on Thursday it has reached agreement with its leader from last season, signing all-round swingman Mardy Collins to a one year extension. Collins (1.98 meters, 32 years old) is the only player to earn All-Eurocup first team honors in each of the past two seasons. Last year, wearing Lokomotiv’s uniform, he led the team to EuroCup Semifinals, scoring 10.8 points while leading the team with 5.7 rebounds, 3.6 assists and 1.1 steals. A year earlier, Collins led Strasbourg all the way to the Eurocup Finals by averaging 13 points, 4.6 rebounds and 4.4 assists. Collins has shined in the competition ever since making his debut in 2014-15 campaign for PGE Turown Zgorzelec, and coming just 1 assist short of a triple-double. Collins also has Turkish Airlines EuroLeague experience, a season with Strasbourg and one with Olympiacos Piraeus. In his career Collins also played with New York and Los Angeles Clippers in the NBA, Bornova Bld in Turkey, Jiangsu Nangang Dragons Nanjing in China, Los Angeles and Iowa in the D-League, Maccabi Ashdod in Israel, Guaros de Lara in Venezuela and Sutor Montegranaro in Italy.
