Dolomiti Energia Trento and playmaker Toto Forray committed their futures to one another on a new three-year contract, the club announced Tuesday. Forray (1.87 meters, 32 years old) averaged 8.4 points on 43.2% three-point shooting, 2.7 assists, and 1.4 steals in 16 7DAYS EuroCup games last season, in which he helped his team reach the Top 16 and the Italian League finals. Born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, Forray has played in Italy for his entire career. He started with Sicilia Messina and also played for Virtus Padova, Jesolo San Dona, San Pietro Vernotico and Forli before joining Trento in 2011 when the team played in the Italian third division. Forray helped Trento all the way to the Italian elite and play the finals in each of the last two seasons, as well as the EuroCup semifinals in 2016.
"I am very enthusiastic and happy to stay in Trento and still be part of the continuous growth of this project," Forray said. "Last season, I reached the goal of playing 300 games with this jersey and being able to wear it for many other times fills me with pride. I have a deep and beautiful connection with the city, the club, and its fans."
