ASVEL Villeurbanne signed power forward Amine Noua to a deal that will keep the sides together through the end of the 2020-21 season, the club announced Friday. Noua (2.02 meters, 21 years old) averaged 7.9 points and 4.1 rebounds in 15 7DAYS EuroCup games with ASVEL last season, his first in the competition. He boosted his numbers to 11.0 points on 61.6% two-point shooting and 4.7 rebounds in 32 French League games. Born in Lyon, Noua started to play basketball with ASVEL at an early age and went through all of the club's youth categories until reaching its first team in 2015. He has also been a member of the French national team. Noua helped France win a bronze medal at the 2017 U20 European Championships.
"It's always a matter of pride to see a pure club product shine at the highest level with us," ASVEL president Tony Parker said. "Amine knows everything about ASVEL Basketball, he has climbed all the ladder and works a lot on a daily basis to improve in all aspects of the game."
