Lokomotiv Kuban Krasnodar on Monday signed combo-guard Isaiah Whitehead for the coming season. Whitehead (1.93 meters, 23 years old) spent the past two seasons with Brooklyn in the NBA, where he averaged 7.2 points and 2.4 assists over 89 games. He also spent time on loan with Long Island in the D-League, for which he posted 22.3 points and 3.5 assists per game. Whitehead was a highly touted high school prospect in New York City and starred for two seasons at Seton Hall University before foregoing his final two seasons of college eligibility and entering the NBA. Lokomotiv will be his first club in Europe.
