Germani Brescia Leonessa reached a new agreement with forward Brian Sacchetti to keep working together until the end of the 2020-21 season, the club announced Thursday. Sacchetti (2.00 meters, 32 years old) averaged 6.7 points on 40.5% three-point shooting and 4.2 rebounds in 37 Italian League games last season, helping Brescia reach the semifinals. Sacchetti, whose father Romeo was an Olympic silver medalist with Italy, started his career with Ignis Castelletto Ticino and also played for Carife Ferrara and Dinamo Banco di Sardegna Sassari before joining Brescia. He made his Turkish Airlines EuroLeague and 7DAYS EuroCup debuts with Sassari, playing for his father. He helped Sassari win the Italian Cup in 2014 and did even better in 2015, getting the Italian double - league and cup titles. Sacchetti has also been a member of the Italian national team. "Brescia fans will have to put up with me for a few more year! Seriously, I want to thank the club for showing great confidence in me," Sacchetti said. "It makes me want to do even better and give everything I have on the court. Brescia is a city that I love and that has welcomed me very well from the first moment I arrived. This is an ideal environment to play basketball: the company has a great project and there is a lot of room for improvement."
