KRKA switches coaches, inks guard

Mustafa Abdul Hamid - HemofarmIn a surprise move announced Friday, KRKA Novo Mesto appointed assistsnt Aleksandar Sekulic head coach of the team, as Nenad Trajkovic stepped down. Trajkovic arrived this summer to the KRKA bench and led the team to a current 2-1 record in Group F, good enough for a temporary second place in the standings. Sekulic will take care of the team until the end of the season. The team also brought in guard Mustafa Abdul Hamid (1.90 meters, 23 years old), who played last season in the Eurocup with KK Hemofarm of Serbia, averaging 8.6 points, 1.8 rebounds and 2.7 assists per game. He finished the season with Lille of the French second division. Hamid steps in after the departure of guard Allan Ray one week ago.
