Partizan NIS Belgrade bolstered its frontcourt by inking power forward Stefan Jankovic for the remainder of the season, the club announced Monday. Jankovic (2.11 meters, 25 years old) arrives from cross-town archrivals Crvena Zvezda mts Belgrade, where he averaged 3.8 points and 2.5 rebounds in 28 Turkish Airlines EuroLeague games last season, in which he helped his team win the Serbian League title. He is a native of Serbia who grew up in Canada and went to college in the USA. He first played at the University of Missouri and then moved to the University of Hawaii, where he was voted as the 2016 Player of the Year in the Big West Conference. In his first professional season, he spent in the D-League. Jankovic started the 2016-17 season with Sioux Falls where he posted 5.9 points and 4.2 rebounds, before finishing it with Erie where he raised his averages to 13.6 points and 6.4 rebounds. Jankovic is set to make his 7DAYS EuroCup debut with his new team.
