Valencia grabs Doellman for two seasons

Justin Doellman - Entente Orleanaise_24342Valencia Basket announced Saturday that it signed power forward Justin Doellman to a two-year deal. Doellman (2.06 meters, 26 years old) is a former double-digit scorer in the Euroleague who comes off a great season in Spain. He ranked second in the Spanish League in scoring with 16.8 points per game in addition to 4.5 rebounds, 2 assists and 1.5 steals last season for Assignia Manresa. It was his second season in a row on the Iberian peninsula after playing the 2010-11 campaign with Meridiano Alicante. Following a successful college basketball career at Xavier University, Doellman played his first professional seasons in France. He first arrived in the 2007-08 season to Cholet Basket with whom he won the Semaine des As. He played the next season for Besancon and then in 2009-10 he made his Euroleague debut with Entente Orleanaise, for whom he recorded 12.4 points and 4.3 rebounds in just 23 minutes per game.

The club also announced that center A.J. Ogilvy will not remain for the 2012-13 season. Ogilvy (2.11 meters, 24 years old) averaged 9.5 points, 3.3 rebounds and 0.9 blocks in eight Eurocup games and 5.1 points and 2.2 rebounds in the Spanish League.
