Ajinca (2.15 meters, 30 years old) arrives from New Orleans of the NBA, where he averaged 5.3 points and 4.9 rebounds in the 2016-17 season before being sidelined due to a knee injury that has kept him out of official games until now. He started his career with INSEP Centre Federal of his native France and also played for Elan Bearnais Pau-Orthez, Hyeres-Toulon Var Basket, Sioux Falls of the D-League, and Strasbourg also of France, and Charlotte, Dallas and Toronto of the NBA. He helped Pau win the French Cup title in 2007. Ajinca has also been a member of the French national team, helping it win a gold medal at EuroBasket 2013. He was also successful in youth competitions, leading France to a gold medal at the 2006 U18 European Championships and getting a bronze at the 2007 U19 World Championships. Ajinca is set to make his 7DAYS EuroCup with ASVEL this season.
