Rytas Vilnius playmaker Chris Kramer is set to miss the remainder of the 7DAYS EuroCup season due to a severe knee injury, the club announced on Thursday. Kramer, 29, injured his right knee late in the first half of his team's 75-64 road loss to Valencia Basket on Tuesday in Game 1 of their best-of-three quarterfinals series. Game 2 is in Vilnius, Lithuania on Friday. Rytas announced on Thursday that tests indicated Kramer had a torn anterior cruciate ligament and would undergo surgery, remaining sidelined until at least September. This was Kramer's third injury of the current season, in which he has played just eight 7DAYS EuroCup games, averaging 6.3 points and 4.6 assists. He helped Rytas win the Lithuanian Cup title. Kramer also played last season with Rytas and led the EuroCup in assists with 7.4 per game.
