The battle under the boards will be one of the keys to the 7DAYS EuroCup Finals, which start on April 9, and it will feature one of competition's all-time greats, Valencia Basket center Bojan Dubljevic, who will match up against ALBA Berlin's athletic centers, led by Dennis Clifford.
Bojan Dubljevic, Valencia
When a players is the competition's all-team leader in points, rebounds and performance index rating at just 28 years of age, it's no wonder all eyes will be on Dubljevic in the upcoming final series. Dubljevic, who earned the Top 16 MVP honor earlier this season, has been impressive all over the court for the three-time champs. He leads Valencia with 5.4 rebounds per contest and is one of the team's three double-digits scorers, averaging 10.1 points. He has also added another dimension this season with 2.4 assists, shattering his previous single-season best.
Dennis Clifford, ALBA
Toughness, hustle and energy is what ALBA Berlin needs from its big men, and that is exactly what Dennis Clifford brings to this team. The 2.13-meter center who has been a starter often in the second part of the season, uses his frame and athleticism on defense to pull down rebounds and protect the paint. He also likes to rock the rim on offense with his highlight-reel dunks. Clifford stepped up in the semifinals and in limited minutes averaged 5.5 points, 3.5 rebound and 1.5 blocks, helping ALBA return to the EuroCup Finals.
