Promitheas picks up high-flying forward Fieler

Promitheas Patras signed high-flying forward Chase Fieler for its debut season in the 7DAYS EuroCup, the club announced Sunday. Fieler (2.03 meters, 27 years old) arrives from Oostende, which he helped to back-to-back Belgian League championships the past two seasons. He averaged 9.6 points, 4.0 rebounds and 2.2 assists per game in the Belgian League and 10.1 points, 3.5 rebounds and 2.5 assists in the Basketball Champions League.

Fieler has been a winner at almost every step of his career. He pocketed a pair of Dutch League titles with Donar Groningen in 2016 and 2017. Fieler also won the Belgian Cup once and the Dutch Cup once. He made his professional debut with Ourense in the 2014-15 season and helped that team advance from Spain's second division to the ACB. Fieler played college basketball at Florida Gulf Coast University and played a big role in the most-famous victory in school history, an NCAA Tournament upset of No. 2 seed Georgetown in 2013.
