Germani Grescia Leonessa improved its backcourt for the upcoming 7DAYS EuroCup season by inking guard DeAndre Lansdowne to a one-year deal, the club announced Thursday. Lansdowne (1.88 meters, 30 years old) arrives from Basketball Loewen Braunschweig, where he averaged 18.6 points, 3.4 rebounds and 3.6 assists in 34 German League games last season, his second with his former team. He started his career with Pioneros de Delicias of Mexico and also played for Hertener Loewen Basketball and Hamburg Towers of Germany before joining Braunschweig in 2017. "DeAndre is a player we had been following for a while," Brescia head coach Vincenzo Esposito said."He is a solid, experienced player, with important scoring skills, but who at the same time knows how to make himself available to the team, especially in the perimeter roles. With a growing career in recent years, Lansdowne has a great shot from outside but thanks to his physical skills, he can also drive to the basket."
