ratiopharm Ulm added more depth to its perimeter by signing a two-year deal with shooting guard Andreas Obst, the club announced on Monday. Obst (1.91 meters, 22 years old) arrives from a Spanish side MOnbus Obradoiro where last season he averaged 7.4 points on 43.2% three-point shooting, along with 1.3 assists and 1.3 rebounds. Obst started his professional career in his native Germany with Breitenguessbach, before moving to Baunach and Brose Bamberg. With the latter he made his 7DAYS EuroCup debut in the 2014-15 season, getting limited minutes in 9 appearances in the competition. Obst also played with Giessen and Gotha, and is a member of the German national team. "I'm really looking forward to the challenge in Ulm”, Obst said. “A great organization, great fans and the opportunity to play in the EuroCup are great conditions for me to take the next step. After talking with coach Jaka Lakovic, I'm convinced that he will establish a game idea that is successful and fits me."
