Venice reunites with veteran guard Filloy

Umana Reyer Venice has reunited with guard Ariel Filloy after two years apart; the last time they played together Venice won the Italian League championship in 2017. Filloy (1.90 meters, 32 years old) spent the past two seasons with fellow Italian side Oriora Pistoia. He averaged 8.7 points, 3.8 rebounds and 4.1 assists in 32 Italian League games last season. Filloy has also played for Dinamo Sassari, Rimini, Olimpia Milan, Vanoli Soresina, Scafati, Trieste and Reggio Emilio during his career.

"I am very happy to return to Umana Reyer and thankful for the new opportunity," Filloy said. "I have a lot of ties to the organization, I am excited and I really want to contribute to the clubs and fans. Umana Reyer has won three titles in the last three seasons and is a great organization. It is a system that works very well and the five consecutive semifinals testify to this, even more than the titles achieved. Winning is very difficult and special, but being constantly at the top and continuing to compete means having the right and winning strategies and ideas. I have a great desire to start this new adventure. Forza Reyer!"
