Monaco inks rebounding ace Yeguete

AS Monaco inked a two-year contract with big man Wilfried Yeguete, the club announced on Saturday. Yeguete (2.02 meters, 27 years old) arrives from a fellow French side Le Mans, where he played the last three years. He averaged 9.0 points, 7.8 rebounds and 1.6 steals in the French League, while posting 6.8 points, 6.8 rebounds and 1.6 steals in the Basketball Champions League last season. Yeguete has been a force inside even while playing college basketball at the University of Florida. He started his professional career in his native France with Le Havre and also played with Pau-Orthez before joining Le Mans. He helped Le Mans win French League title in 2018, and is now set to make his 7DAYS EuroCup debut. “I arrive at a club that wants to do everything to be one of the best in France and Europe and I hope to play the high level with Monaco”, Yeguete said. “I want to change the frame and test my limits. The goal will be to win titles.”
