Limoges signs versatile forward Mbala

Limoges CSP signed athletic and versatile forward Benoit Mbala for the coming season, the club announced Thursday. Mbala (2.03 meters, 23 years old) arrives from Aix-Maurienne Savoie Basket, where he averaged 15.2 points, 7.2 rebounds and 1.1 steals in 18 French second division games last season. He started the 2018-19 season with Seoul Samsung Thunder, where he was worth 20.6 points and 8.8 rebounds in 18 South Korean games before joining Savoie. Mbala grew up in the Philippines, where he played for Southwestern University PHINMA, Glan Montana and De La Salle University. He has also played for Chorale Roanne of France and Fuerza Regia Monterrey of Mexico. Mbala has also been a member of the Cameroonian national team and posted 21.8 points and 9.3 rebounds at AfroBasket 2017.
