Promitheas Patras added a veteran backcourt presence ahead of its debut 7DAYS EuroCup campaign by signing point guard Robert Lowery, the club announced Thursday. Lowery (1.88 meters, 31 years old) arrives from Polski Cukier Torun, where he averaged 12.8 points, 3.7 rebounds and 6.4 assists in 43 Polish League games last season, helping his team reach the finals. He started his career with Saar-Pfalz Braves of Germany and also played for Levharti Chomutov of the Czech Republic, Best Baliksehir and Antalyaspor of Turkey, Lighthouse Trapani of Italy, ALBA Berlin of Germany, ASA Koroivos Amaliadas and Nea Kifisia Dimoulas of Greece, VEF Riga of Latvia and Astana of Kazakhstan. Lowery helped VEF win the Latvian League title in 2015 and also lifted the Kazakhstan League trophy with Astana in 2017. Lowery played three EuroCup games with ALBA in the 2015-16 season, in which he averaged 13.7 points, 5.0 rebounds and 2.0 steals.
