MoraBanc Andorra and Moussa Diagne agreed to a contract extension, the club announced Monday. Diagne (2.11 meters, 25 years old) was already signed for the coming season, but the new deal will keep the sides together through the summer of 2021. Last season was Diagne's second with MoraBanc and he averaged 7.8 points and 5.2 rebounds over 21 games in helping his team reach the 7DAYS EuroCup Semifinals. Diagne first came to Spain from his native Senegal as a 17-year-old and spent three seasons with Fuenlabrada before joining Barcelona. He returned to Fuenlabrada on loan in the 2016-17 campaign, which is when he debuted in the EuroCup. Diagne also played in 10 Turkish Airlines EuroLeague games in parts of two seasons with Barcelona.
"From the very first moment, both the coach and myself let Moussa know that this season he would be a reference for us thanks to his hard work and his connection with our fans," general manager Francesc Solana said. "Resigning him was a priority for us... We are very happy and we hope he continues to improve as he has done since playing for us."
