Cedevita brings home veteran forward Blazic

Cedevita Olimpija Ljubljana has added a big piece to its 7DAYS EuroCup roster by bringing back veteran forward Jaka Blazic six years after he left the club. Blazic and the club signed a new two-year contract. Blazic (1.96 meters, 29 years old) arrives from FC Barcelona, where he averaged 5.2 points and 2.3 rebounds in less than 14 minutes per game in the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague last season. Blazic spent two seasons each at his first five clubs: Kranj, Slovan and Olimpija in his native Slovenia; Crvena Zvezda mts Belgrade in Serbia; and KIROLBET Baskonia Vitoria Gasteiz in Spain. Before joining Barcelona last season, he spent a year with MoraBanc Andorra, averaging 12.0 points, 4.2 rebounds, 1.2 assists and 1.2 steals in his last EuroCup season. All told, Blazic has played 141 EuroLeague games, averaging 7.0 points and 2.7 rebounds over those seven seasons with four teams. He has averages of 10.0 points and 3.5 rebounds in two EuroCup seasons with Zvezda and MoraBanc.

"I am happy to return to Ljubljana after six seasons," Blazic said, "but I hope that the feelings at the end of the season will be even better. The contract can be signed, but it is even more important to show the real thing on the court."
