Ulm signs versatile forward Willis

In preparation for the new 7DAYS EuroCup season, ratiopharm Ulm has signed versatile forward Derek Willis to a two-year contract. Willis (2.06 meters, 24 years old) played last season for another German League team, Goettigen, delivering 12.0 points and 5.0 rebounds per game while shooting 42.5% from three-point territory. Besides rebounds and three-point accuracy, he led the team in blocked shots, as well. Prior to Goettigen, Willis spent his first pro season with Grand Rapids of the NBA G League. Before turning pro, he spent four years at University of Kentucky.
