Virtus fortifies frontline with Hunter
Segafredo Virtus Bologna solidified its frontcourt by signing Vince Hunter, who was the Basketball Champions League top scorer last season with 18.0 points per game for AEK Athens. Hunter (2.03 meters, 24 years old) was also a member of the Champions League Star Lineup after leading the competition with an average performance index rating of 22.8 and ranking third in rebounding with 8.1 boards per game. He helped AEK win the Champions League the season before as well as the 2018 Greek Cup. Hunter began his professional career with Reno in the G-League. He played briefly for Panathinaikos Athens, where he made his EuroLeague debut in 2016. Hunter has also played for Avtodor Saratov in Russia, Memphis in the NBA and Memphis's G-League affiliate in the same city. He joins Julian Gamble as Virtus's second frontline player to sign on Monday.
