Promitheas Patras will enter its first 7DAYS EuroCup season with experience in the paint after signing veteran center Georgios Bogris, a former Turkish Airlines EuroLeague champion, on Monday. Bogris (2.10 meters, 30 years old) won the EuroLeague in 2011 in a limited role with Panathinaikos Athens. He's now coming off a two-season stint with Olympiacos Piraeus in which he played a backup role in 40 EuroLeague games. He has previously played four seasons with as many different clubs in the EuroCup, starting with Aris Thessaloniki in 2011-12, joining Panionios Athens for the next one and PAOK Thessaloniki for the one after that. He left his native Greece then to play at Morabanc Andorra, returning to the EuroCup with Bilbao Basket and then winning the 2017 Basketball Champions League with CB Canarias Tenerife before joining Olympiacos. Bogris has played a total of 44 EuroCup games over the years with averages of 7.3 points and 4.3 rebounds. He began his career with lower-division Greek club Ilysiakos in Athens.
