Maccabi Rishon Lezion added a new player to its roster, none other than forward Johnathan Williams, who signed a one-year deal with the Israeli powerhouse on Tuesday. Williams (2.06 meters, 24 years old) arrives from South Bay of the NBA G League, where he averaged 15.7 points and 8.7 rebounds in 35 games. He started the 2018-19 season with the Los Angeles Lakers of the NBA, averaging 6.8 points and 4.3 rebounds before joining South Bay. Before that, Williams finished his college career at Gonzaga University, to which he helped reach the NCAA Tournament championship game in 2017. Williams has also been a member of the USA national team at youth ages, helping it get respective gold medals at the 2011 U16 FIBA Americas and the 2012 U17 World Championships.
