Nanterre 92 is putting its faith in youth with the signing of teenage point guard Anthony Da Silva for the coming 7DAYS EuroCup season. Da Silva (1.86 meters, 18 years old) arrives on a one-year loan from his previous team, Real Betis Seville of Spain, which won Spain's second-division title last season. Da Silva played only one game with that team, having spent most of his time in the third division, where he averaged 11.4 points, 3.4 rebounds and 3.2 assists while shooting 44% on three-pointers. Da Silva also represented Betis in the 2017-18 Euroleague Basketball Adidas Next Generation Tournament, averaging 9.5 points and 3.8 assists over four games at the Munich qualifier. Da Silva's father, Filipe, a longtime pro player who retired in 2016, is now an assistant coach at Nanterre.
