The leading assist-maker in 7DAYS EuroCup history, point guard Stefan Markovic, has a new team, Segafredo Virtus Bologna, for whom to make his passes next season. Markovic (1.98 meters, 31 years old) will play his 10th Eurocup season by forming a backcourt duo with recently signed Milos Teodosic, his long-time Serbian national teammate. Markovic arrives from Khimki Moscow Region, where he averaged 6.1 points, 4.4 assists and 2.1 rebounds in 27 Turkish Airlines EuroLeague games last season, his second with the club. Markovic debuted in the EuroCup in 2006, at age 18, with Hemofarm of his native Serbia, and stayed with the club for four seasons. He has since made stops with Treviso of Italy, Valencia Basket and Unicaja Malaga of Spain, Banvit Bandirma of Turkey, Zenit St Petersburg in Russia. He played in the EuroCup for all except Unicaja, and in 106 games total, leads the competition with 491 lifetime assists. He also ranks second with 155 steals. He has averaged 7.1 points, 4.6 assists and 2.8 rebounds in that span. He has also played 91 career EuroLeague games over four seasons with Unicaja and Khimki, putting up 4.9 points, 4.0 assists and 2.8 rebounds per game.
