Rishon bulks up with Chubrevich at center

Maccabi Rishon LeZion fortified its frontline by signing veteran center Alex Chubrevich for the 2019-20 season, in which it will make it 7DAYS EuroCup debut. Chubrevich (2.12 meters, 33 years old) arrives from Hapoel Jerusalem, with which he won the Israeli Cup last season. The big man averaged 3.2 points and 2.4 rebounds in a reserve role with Jerusalem. Chubrevich previously played for Gilboa Galil, Netanya, Maccabi Haifa, Holon, Yavne, Kohav Yair and Maccabi Ashdod in Israel and CB Illescas Urban CLM and Knet Rioja Clavijo in Spain. He was on Haifa's championship-winning squad in 2013. The club also announced that Ben Altit was released.

"I am very happy and excited to join a club with tradition that aspires to reach the highest levels and to play under Guy Goodes, a valued coach with a respected record. I believe I will be able to learn a lot from him and help the team as much as possible to continue its way upward."
