Lokomotiv Kuban Krasnodar has added veteran forward Mindaugas Kuzminskas to its roster for the remainder of the 2019-20 7DAYS EuroCup season, the club announced on Monday. Kuzminskas (2.05 meters, 30 years old) started this season by playing six Turkish Airlines EuroLeague games for Olympiacos Piraeus before club and player announced a mutual parting of ways late last week. Kuzminskas averaged 5.8 points and 2.2 rebounds in 13 minutes per game for Olympiacos. He played the previous season and a half for AX Armani Exchange Milan, putting up 8.5 points and 3.3 rebounds coming off the bench for 30 games last season, when he ranked sixth in the EuroLeague with a three-point accuracy rate of 46.9%. Kuzminskas previously played three EuroLeague seasons each for Zalgiris Kaunas in his native Lithuania and for Unicaja Malaga of Spain. All told, he has played in 164 EuroLeague games with averages of 8.0 points and 2.9 rebounds. He also spent the entire 2016-17 with New York of the NBA, averaging 6.3 points and 2.0 rebounds in 68 games. Kuzminskas returns to the EuroCup for the first time in 10 seasons after having made his debut in the competition with Siauliai of Lithuania in 2009-10.
