Looking to survive Group C of the 7DAYS EuroCup Regular Season, Germani Brescia Leonessa bolstered its frontcourt on Wednesday by inking power forward Ojars Silins to a two-month deal with an option to extend it for the remainder of the season. Silins (2.03 meters, 26 years old) brings in plenty of EuroCup experience, as he appeared in the competition with Grissin Bon Reggio Emilia and Dolomiti Energia Trento between 2014 and 2018, averaging 5.4 points in 34 games. He last played with Sidigas Avellino, where he averaged 6.1 points and 2.4 rebounds in 15 Italian League games last season. He had started that season with another Italian League team, Trieste, averaging 7.6 points and 2.4 rebounds in 8 Italian League games before joining Avellino. Silins started his career in his native Latvia, playing for Daugavas Sporta Nams and Keizarmezs before joining Italian side Stella Azzurra. He has also for Telekom Baskets Bonn of Germany. Silins helped Reggio Emilia win the EuroChallenge title in 2014.
