Joventut Badalona bolstered its frontcourt by adding center Oliver Stevic, who signed a contract for the remainder of the season, the club announced Wednesday. Stevic (2.02 meters, 33 years old) arrives from San Pablo Burgos, where he averaged 5.1 points in 7 Spanish League games this season. He started the 2019-20 season with Igokea Aleksandrovac of Serbia, averaging 7.0 points and 5.8 rebounds in 8 Adriatic League games before joining Burgos. Stevic started his career with FMP Zeleznik of his native Serbia, and also played for Borac Cacak, Crvena Zvezda mts Belgrade and Masinac Kraljevo of Serbia, Stelmet Zielona Gora, Slask Wroclaw and Anwil Wloclawek of Poland, EWE Baskets Oldenburg of Germany, Bilbao Basket, Fuenlabrada and MoraBanc Andorra of the Spanish League, Royal Hali Gaziantep of Turkey and Novipiu Casale Monferrato of Italy. He helped Zielona Gora win the Polish League title in 2013 and helped Andorra reach the EuroCup semifinals last season. In 76 EuroCup career games with Slask, Zvezda, Oldenburg, Zielona Gora and Andorra, Stevic has amassed 604 points (7.9 ppg.) and 369 rebounds (4.9 rpg.), hitting 60.9% of his two-point shots (252-of-414).
