The 10th edition of the EuroCup was set to start in 2011-12. This time it was a total 32 teams that took part in the start of the regular season, that was marked by the NBA lockdown and the appearance in the competition of NBA legend Tony Parker, who would play his only EuroCup game ever with the team he still owns, ASVEL, hitting 34 points. Half of the teams advanced to the Last 16 phase, which featured four groups of four teams each. After six rounds of games, the best eight made the quarterfinals that would decide who the four participants would be in the EuroCup Finals, to be played in Moscow. In the end it was Rytas Vilnius and Valencia Basket, who would play in one semifinal, and hosting Khimki and Spartak St Petersburg in the other. The title game featured Khimki and Valencia, and in the end the hosts prevailed, 77-68, to lift the title and punch a ticket for the following EuroLeague season.
