Virtus adds power forward Alibegovic
Segafredo Virtus Bologna bolstered its frontcourt by inking power forward Amar Alibegovic, who signed a multi-year deal with the 7DAYS EuroCup powerhouse on Wednesday. Alibegovic (2.07 meters, 25 years old) arrives from Virtus Rome, where he averaged 10.5 points and 7.2 rebounds in 22 Italian League games last season. He started his career with Stella Azzurra Rome, moving to the United States to play for St John's University. He finished his college career with St John's in 2018, joining Virtus Rome. Alibegovic has also been a member of the Bosnian U20 national team. His father is Teo Alibegovic, who helped ALBA Berlin win the Korac Cup title in the 1994-95 season. "I'm proud to be here in Segafredo Virtus Bologna," Alibegovic said after signing his contract. "A top club, where I will have the chance to have a new experience together with great champions."
