Virtus adds size with Tessitori
Segafredo Virtus Bologna bolstered its frontcourt by inking big man Amedeo Tessitori to a multi-year deal, the club announced on Friday. Tessitori (2.08 meters, 25 years old) arrives from De Longhi Treviso Basket 2012, where he averaged 8.1 points and 4.6 rebounds in 21 Italian League games last season. He started his career with Virtus Siena and has also played for Dinamo Banco di Sardegna Sassari, LeGamberi Foods Forli, Pasta Reggia JuveCaseta, Acqua Vitasnella Cantu and Angelico Biella. Tessitori has also been a member of the Italian national team. He helped Treviso win the Italian second division double - league and cup titles - in 2019, and lifted the Italian Cup trophy with Sassari in 2014. Tessitori returns to the 7DAYS EuroCup for the first time since the 2013-14 season, in which he averaged 1.5 points in 12 games with Sassari.
