Buducnost VOLI Podgorica continued the construction of its roster for the 2020-21 season by re-signing two of its long-tenured players, guard Nikola Ivanovic and forward Aleksa Ilic, the club announced on Thursday. Ivanovic (1.91 meters, 26 years old) has been with Buducnost for the last three years and has already spent seven seasons with the club, which he first joined in 2011. He signed a one-year deal. Last season Ivanovic averaged 7.1 points, 2.6 assists and 2.1 rebounds in the EuroCup regular season, while posting 9.7 points, 4.2 assists, 2.3 rebounds and 1.3 steals in the Adriatic League action. During his professional career, Ivanovic has also played for fellow Montenegrin side Mornar Bar, Mega Leks in Serbia, AEK Athens in Greece and Capo d'Orlando in Italy.
Ilic (2.04 meters, 23 years old) extended his contract for two more seasons. He has been with Buducnost since 2015 after joining the club from his hometown Sutjeska Niksic, where he started his professional career as a teenager. Last season Ilic averaged 4.0 points, 2.5 rebounds and 1.3 assists in the EuroCup regular season and 3.5 points and 4.6 rebounds in the Adriatic League action.
