Virtus brings forward Abass aboard
Segafredo Virtus Bologna signed small forward Awudu Abass to a three-year deal on Monday. Abass (1.98 meters, 27 years old) arrives from Germani Brescia Leonessa, where he averaged 12.3 points on 88.9% free throw shooting and 4.8 rebounds in 15 7DAYS EuroCup games last season. He played for AX Armani Exchange Milan from 2016 to 2018, helping the team win the Italian League title in the 2017-18 season and lift the Italian Cup trophy in 2017. Awass started his career with Pallacanestro Cantu and joined Milan in 2016. He is also a regular with the Italian national team. Abass helped Italy win a gold medal at the 2013 U20 European Championships.
