Lietkabelis Panevezys and Coach Nenad Canak will remain together for another season after they penned a contract extension on Thursday. Canak, 44, first joined the club in November 2018 and last season guided the club to third place in the Lithuanian League and the semifinals of the Lithuanian Cup. Before that he coached Partizan Belgrade, including briefly in the 7DAYS EuroCup. Canak has also coached Spartak Subotica in his native Serbia. He led Partizan to the 2018 Serbian Cup in his time there. Canaka was also an accomplished player and started his 20-year professional career with Partizan, for which he played a total of six seasons, including two in the EuroLeague from 2001 to 2003.
