Umana Reyer Venice kept another one of its foundation pieces on the roster for the upcoming season, agreeing with veteran playmaker Julyan Stone on a one-year deal, the club announced on Tuesday. Stone (1.98 meters, 31 years old) is in his third stint with the club, which he first joined in 2014, and is now set to play its fifth season there. Stone is Reyer's all-time club leader with 457 assists and has helped the team win every significant trophy of the past 70 years, including Italian League crowns in 2017 and 2019, Italian Cup title in 2020, and Fiba Europe Cup in 2018. Last season, Stone averaged 4.5 points, 5.5 rebounds and 3.1 assists making his 7DAYS EuroCup debut, while in the Italian League action he posted 2.7 points, 5.4 rebounds and 3.0 assists. During his professional career, Stone has played parts of four seasons in the NBA with Denver, Toronto and Charlotte. He played in the D-League with Idaho, Iowa, Fort Wayne and Greensboro, and has spent a season with Gaziantep in Turkey.
