Veteran forward Valerio Mazzola and Umana Reyer Venice will hook up for a third consecutive 7DAYS EuroCup season together, the club announced on Saturday. Mazzola, (2.05 meters, 32 years old) came off the bench for 2.3 points and 2.0 rebounds per game over eight appearances last season. His only starts were in the last two victories in the Top 16, which were the difference in Reyer making the quarterfinals before the season was cancelled. Mazzola made his EuroCup debut in a similar role with Fiat Turin in the 2017-18 season. His pro career stretches back 12 seasons in total, to 2008, during which time he has spent at least two years each with Ferrara, Montegranaro and Virtus Bologna before Turin. He joined Reyer in 2018-19 and promptly helped the club take its second Italian League trophy in three seasons back to Venice. Last season, they lifted the Italian Cup together.
