7DAYS EuroCup newcomer Bahcesehir College Istanbul added a significant scoring presence to its backcourt with the signing of Erick Green, the club announced Thursday. Green (1.90 meters, 28 years old) last played with Real Betis Seville, where in four Spanish League appearances he averaged 21.3 points on 40.9% three-point shooting plus 3.8 rebounds. He also spent time last season with Fujian in China. Green returns to the EuroCup for the first time since his six appearances with Montepaschi Siena in the 2013-14 campaign. That same season Green also made his Turkish Airlines EuroLeague debut. He has totaled 102 appearances in the EuroLeague and has helped teams reach the Final Four twice, Olympiacos Piraeus in 2017 and Fenerbahce Beko Istanbul in 2019. During the 2017-18 season with Valencia Basket, Green ranked eighth in the EuroLeague in scoring with 14.4 points on 41.7% three-point shooting. Green has also played for Denver and Utah of the NBA and Fort Wayne and Reno of the D-League.
Bahcesehir also announced that veteran power forward Hadi Ozdemir (2.02 meters, 36 years old), who has been with the club the past two years, will return for the 2020-21 season. Last season Ozdemir posted 1.2 points and 2.1 rebounds in 19 limited Turkish League appearances. He will make his EuroCup debut, too.
