Reyer, Daye together until 2023

Umana Reyer Venice reached a new agreement with power forward Austin Daye to keep working together until the end of the 2022-23 season, the club announced Friday. Daye (2.11 meters, 32 years old) averaged 9.9 points and 4.1 rebounds in 16 7DAYS EuroCup games with Reyer last season. In his three seasons in Venice, Daye helped Reyer win the FIBA EuroCup title in 2018, get the Italian League crown in 2019 and lift the Italian Cup this year. He started his career with Detroit of the NBA, and also played for Khimki Moscow Region of Russia, Toronto, Cleveland and San Antonio of the NBA, Austin and Erie Bay of the D-League, VL Pesaro of Italy, Al Manama of Bahrein, Galatasaray Istanbul of Turkey, and Hapoel Jerusalem of Israel. In 28 EuroCup career games with Khimki, Jerusalem and Reyer, Daye has amassed 262 points (9.4 ppg.) and 102 rebounds (3.56 rpg.). His father, Darren Daye, was a professional basketball player and also won the Italian League title with Scavolini Pesaro in 1988 and 1990.
