Bahcesehir puts Perez into backcourt

Bahcesehir College Istanbul continues getting ready for its 7DAYS EuroCup debut by signing point guard Alex Perez, the club announced on Friday. Perez (1.91 meters, 26 years old) has last played with Zalgiris Kaunas where he appeared in seven Turkish Airlines EuroLeague games in the early part of last season, and in limited action averaged 3.1 points and 1.9 assists. Perez returns to Turkey, where he previously played with Banvit Bandirma, and averaged 14.7 points and 5.6 assists in the Turkish League in the 2018-19 campaign. Perez started his professional career in his native Mexico with Soles de Mexicali in 2013 and had two more stints with that club over the years. He has also played for Bucaneros de La Guaira in Venezuela, San Lorenzo de Almagro in Argentina, Maccabi Haifa in Israel and VEF Riga in Latvia. A member of the Mexican national team, Perez is now set to make his EuroCup debut.
