Lietkabelis Panevezys added another weapon to its frontline on Sunday by signing power forward Troy Barnies for the coming season. Barnies (2.00 meters, 31 years old) split last season between Latvian side Liepaja and Russian club Rodniki Izhevsk. He went for 18.4 points and 6.3 rebounds per game with Liepaja in the Latvian-Estonian League and 8.6 points and 4.0 rebounds with Izhevsk. Barnies returns to the EuroCup for the first time since 2004-15 when he played for Ventspils. He averaged 7.1 points and 3.7 rebounds in 10 games that season. Barnies has also played for Istanbulspor in Turkey, Vilpas in Finland, Jekabpils in Latvia, and Atomeromu and Szolnoki Olaj in Hungary.
