Germani Brescia Leonessa added scoring punch to its backcourt by inking Kenny Chery to a one-year deal, the club announced Saturday. Chery (1.80 meters, 28 years old) arrives from Nanterre 92, where he averaged 15.9 points on 40.9% three-point shooting and 3.3 assists in eight 7DAYS EuroCup games last season. He ranked seventh in scoring in the 2019-20 EuroCup Regular Season, and led his team in average PIR (14.6). Chery joined Nanterre from Bouzalac Basket Dordogne, where he averaged 16.7 points, 3.4 rebounds and 4.3 assists in 34 French League games in the 2018-19 season. He started his career with TLI-Alba Fehervar of Hungary and also played for Real Betis Energia Plus and Delteco Gipuzkoa San Sebastian of Spain before joining Bouzalac. He was the third-best scorer in the French League in the 2018-19 season.
