Bahcesehir College Istanbul strengthened its backcourt by inking shooting guard Erkan Yilmaz, the club announced Monday. Yilmaz (1.92 meters, 22 years old) arrives from Teksur Bandirma, where he averaged 2.7 points and 3.1 rebounds in 18 Turkish League games last season. He started his career with Antalya Buyuksehir Belediye and also played for Banvit Bandirma, Bandirma Kirmizi, Yesilgiresun Belediye, Ankara DSI and Yeni Mamak Spor Kulubu. He made his EuroCup debut with Banvit in the 2015-16 season, averaging 0.3 points in 7 games. Yilmaz also helped the Turkish U18 national team get a silver medal at the 2015 European Championships.
