Umana Reyer Venice announced on Wednesday that it signed veteran playmaker Lorenzo D'Ercole to a one-year deal. D'Ercole (1.93 meters, 32 years old) arrives from Pistoia Basket 2000, where he averaged 1.9 points in 21 Italian League games last season. He has played in his native country for nearly his entire career, during which he has suited up for Montecatini Terme, Montepaschi Siena, Livorno, Snaidero Udine, Vanoli-Braga Cremona, Virtus Roma, Banco di Sardegna Sassari and Avellino. D'Ercole also played one game for Maccabi Rishon LeZion in the 2012-13 season. He helped Siena win Italian League titles in 2007 and 2010 and has been a member of the Italian national team. In 32 EuroCup career games with Siena, Rome and Sassari, D'Ercole has amassed 105 points (3.3 ppg.) and 36 assists (1.1 apg.).
