Partizan, coach Trinchieri part ways

Partizan NIS Belgrade is in a search of a new head coach after the announcement that Andrea Trinchieri and the club have mutually agreed to end their collaboration. Trinchieri, the Eurocup Coach of the Year in 2013-14, arrived at the bench of the Serbian powerhouse in November 2018 and led Partizan to a pair of Serbian Cups and an ABA Supercup trophy during his time on the bench. Last season, Partizan reached the 7DAYS EuroCup Quarterfinals and held home-court advantage after a 12-4 record under Trinchieri's guidance. It also clinched first-place in the Adriatic League regular season before both competitions were canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Trinchieri has 46-26 career record in the EuroCup in five seasons with Pallacanestro Cantu, UNICS Kazan, Brose Bamberg and Partizan. He helped UNICS reach the EuroCup Finals in 2014 and during his career has also coached Vanoli, Caserta, Veroli in Italy, as well as the Greek national team.
