Umana Reyer Venice bolstered its frontcourt by inking versatile forward Isaac Fotu to a one-year deal, the club announced Monday. Fotu (2.03 meters, 26 years old) arrives from De Longhi Treviso Basket, where he averaged 14.1 points and 5.3 rebounds in 20 Italian League games last season. He started his career with Basquet Manresa, where he was sent on loan from another Spanish team, Tecnyconta Zaragoza. Fotu also played for ratiopharm Ulm of Germany before joining Treviso. He brings in three seasons of EuroCup experience - two with Ulm, one with Zaragoza - in which he amassed 358 points (9.2 ppg.) and 156 rebounds (4.0 rpg.) in 39 career games. Fotu is also a member of the New Zealand basketball team. He helped the Tall Blacks get a silver medal at the 2015 FIBA Oceania Championships.
